Vietnamese President says His Visit to Ethiopia Successful

Addis Ababa Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang, who was in Ethiopia on a three-day official visit, said his stay in Addis Ababa was successful.

The President, who departed this morning to Egypt � his next destination concluding his visit, said that his stay in Ethiopia was successful and fruitful.

The President noted the agreement reached between the two sides to cooperate on economic issues as a good opportunity to enhance bilateral ties.

He expressed his country's commitment and readiness for the implementation of the agreement reached in trade and investment.

Noting that Ethiopia and Vietnam have a similar history of freedom, the President urged to work together to ensure peace and security for themselves and their neighbors.

He also expressed his country's readiness to closely work with Ethiopia on international issues.

During his stay in Addis Ababa, President Tran Dai Quang was met with high level government officials including the President and the Prime Minister.

Ethiopia and Vietnam officially started bilateral relations back to 1976.
