The three weeks training will focus on the culture and history of diplomacy, current diplomatic activities in international relations, digital diplomacy, among other issues.

At the launching of the training, State Minister of foreign Affairs, Birtukan Ayano said the training will help enable the diplomats to promote digital diplomacy.

The training is also expected to strengthen their capacity to effectively deal with the dynamism of regional and international politics in their diplomatic activities, she added.

Ethiopia has been challenged in the field of diplomacy in the last four years by the governments of various countries and the international media, the state minister said, adding however, it has maintained its territorial integrity through multifaceted diplomatic efforts.

“Therefore, there is need for diplomats who properly understands the country’s mission by strengthening the work of digital diplomacy and ensure the interest of the nation,” she stressed.
