Military Plane Crashes with 17 People on Board

Addis Ababa Seventeen people were killed in a military plane that crashed Thursday morning near the town of Bisoftu in East Shewa zone.

Zonal Police PR Head, Commander Aschalew Alemu said that four of the people who lost their lives are women and children.

According to the head, the plane crashes as it was fully caught on fire. The plane was on its way from Dire Dawa to the town of Bishoftu, which is the base for the Air Force.

Bodies of all the 17 people who were on board of the plane have recovered, Commander Aschalew said.

According to the head, investigation has launched into what caused the fiery wreck.
