CHINESE BUSINESS DELEGATION CALLS ON ETHIOPIAN PRESIDENT

ADDIS ABABA, April 4– President Dr Mulatu Teshome of Ethiopia held talks here Thursday with a visiting nine-member Chinese business delegation led by Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming.

Mulatu told the delegation that it would be a win-win situation for both countries if Chinese companies were able to engage in textile and leather industries in this country.

Textile and leather industries are the priority areas of the country in the industrial sector, since they are labor intensive, he added.

He also expressed the wish that Chinese companies would be able to engage in food processing as well.

Zhang said China would work to improve investments in Ethiopia and ensure mutual benefit, according to a high level official who attended the meeting.
