Afro-Nordic Foreign Ministers Meeting Opens in Denmark

Addis Ababa The annual joint meeting of foreign affairs ministers of Afro-Nordic countries began in Denmark today.

Office of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Foreign Affairs Minister Workneh Gebeyhu will attend the two-day meeting.

The joint meeting is a forum where foreign affairs ministers of Africa and Nordic countries hold discussions annually.

Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden are members of the Nordic countries.

Workneh, who is on official visit to Denmark, is also expected to confer with Lars LA�kke Rasmussen, the Prime Minister of Denmark, and Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen as well as members of Foreign Relations Committee of the Danish Parliament on issues of bilateral, environmental, and regional issues.
